Folded & Stapled will staple and fold the output along the center margin to produce
stapled booklets.
Fold Only will fold the output along the center margin to produce loose leaf booklets.
None select this option if you do not want the device to fold and staple your output.
10. Select the OK button.
11. Enter the number of prints required using the numeric keypad on the control panel.
12. Press the Start button on the control panel to scan the original.
13. Remove the original from the document feeder or document glass when scanning has
completed. The job enters the job list ready for processing.
14. Press the Job Status button on the device control panel to view the job list and check the status
of the job.
15. If your job remains held in the Active Jobs list, the device needs you to supply additional
resources, such as paper or staples before it can complete the job. To find out what resources
are needed, select the job and then select the Details button. Once the resources are available
the job will print.
The following Booklet Maker specifications apply.
Paper Sizes A3 (11x17”), A4 (8.5x11”), 8.5x13” and 8.5x14”.
Paper weight 60 to 216 gsm (16 to 57 lb).
All media must be Short Edge Feed (SEF).
Booklet thickness specifications.
For Folded and Stapled booklets a maximum of 15 sheets of 80 gsm (20 lb) or equivalent
thickness. For example you can have 13 sheets of 80 gsm (20 lb) and a cover sheet of 160 gsm
(43 lb).
For Folded Only booklets a maximum of 5 sheets of 80 gsm (20 lb) or equivalent thickness. For
example you can have 3 sheets of 80 gsm (20 lb) and a cover sheet of 200 gsm (53 lb).
Note: SEF is Short Edge Feed (where the short edge of the paper is the leading edge when the paper
is fed into the device). LEF is Long Edge Feed (where the paper is oriented so that the long edge is
fed into the device first).

When you press the Start button to make a copy, the device scans your originals and temporarily
stores the images. It then prints the images based on the selections made.
