This section describes the typical deployment environment.
2.1 Deployment Topology
The interoperability between AudioCodes SBC and Zoom Phone Local Survivability with the Generic
SIP Trunk and Zoom Phone system done using the following topology setup:
◼ Zoom Phone Local Survivability Module (ZPLS) pre-installed on the integrated Open Solutions
Network (OSN) server of the Mediant 800C device and connected to the enterprise LAN.
◼ Enterprise connected with the Zoom Phone System located on the WAN for enhanced
communication within the Enterprise.
◼ Enterprise wishes to offer its employees enterprise-voice capabilities and to connect the
Enterprise to the PSTN network in case of Zoom Phone System connectivity outage using
AudioCodes’s SIP Trunking service.
◼ AudioCodes SBC is implemented to interconnect between the Zoom Phone Local Survivability
Module, SIP Trunk and the Zoom Phone System.
• Session: Real-time voice session using the IP-based Session Initiation Protocol (SIP).
• Border: IP-to-IP network border. The Zoom Phone Local Survivability Module is located
in the Enterprise LAN. The AudioCodes’s SBC, SIP Trunk and the Zoom Phone System are
located in the public network.
