6.4.1.1 Before activation
The printout “Technical data” of the EFAS
does not refer to a calibration purpose. There
is no information regarding the sensor.

no information was provided on this before activation; see 6.4.1.5
6.4.1.2 Activation
By entering a valid workshop card,
the EFAS is activated and paired with
the sensor. In this new activated state,
the printout “Technical data” of the
EFAS shows the calibration purpose (1)
(“activation”). The vehicle identication
number, registration number and
member state details are still empty, but
the printout shows information on the
workshop card and the paired sensor.

The recording equipment records data in the mass storage from the time of activation and accepts other tachograph cards. EFAS
must now be calibrated (see chapter Calibration). However, the general settings can already be made. (see chapter General
settings).
