Installing a sled
Air shroud
The air shroud aerodynamically directs the airow across the sled. The airow passes through all the critical parts of the sled, where the
fans push the air across the entire surface area of the heat sink. There is a vacuum created by air pulled across the hard drives, thus
allowing increased cooling.
Removing the air shroud

1 Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
2 Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
3 Remove the sled from the enclosure.
4 If applicable, disconnect the battery cable from the PERC card.
Steps
1 Press the clip on the air shroud to release the shroud from the sled.
2 Rotate the shroud up to release the shroud hinge from the slot and remove it.
