Tubular trestle frame with upper section made of high-
strength steel.
Steering angle (on each side):
27°
For improved performance on track the headstock angle
can be changed (see page 45) on 748S and 998 models,
but it cannot be changed on 748 models.
STANDARD steering setting for road riding is as follows:
Steering head angle:
24°30’
Trail:
97 mm.
For track riding, setting for 748S and 998 models can be
modified to the following values:
Steering head angle:
23° 30’
Trail:
91 mm.
Important
The above gear ratios are the homologated ones
and under no circumstances must they be modified.
However, if you wish to tune up your motorcycle for
competitive trials, you may refer to Ducati Motor Holding
S.p.A. who will be glad to provide information about the
special ratios available. Contact a Ducati Dealer or
Authorized Workshop.
Warning
For the replacement of the rear sprocket, contact a
Ducati Dealer or Authorized Workshop. The incorrect
replacement of this component could seriously endanger
your safety and that of your passenger and cause
irreparable damage to the motorcycle.
