7. Emerson recommends resetting the keying posts of removed CHARM Terminal
Blocks to prepare it for the installation of other CHARM types. For resetting the key
settings see Installing CHARMs hardware. The Thermocouple/mV Terminal Block
has a fixed key setting and cannot be reset.
6.3 Remove the Address Plug
Procedure
1. Flip down the CHARM labeling component (see Figure 5-21 for location), if there is
one.
2. To remove the Address Plug, insert a flat-tip screwdriver into the latch of the
CHARM Address Terminal Block. See Figure 5-20 for location of the latch.
3. Move the screwdriver down to unlock the Address Plug.
4. Pull the Address Plug out of the Address Terminal Block to remove it completely.
6.4 Remove the CHARM Address Terminal Block
The procedure is the same as for the CHARM Terminal Blocks. See Remove a Terminal
Block.
6.5 Remove the +24 V DC Power Module
CAUTION
Any work on the system may impair asset health monitoring and machine protection.
Procedure
1. To remove the +24 V DC Power Module, push the latch of the slot for the +24 V DC
Power Module upwards.
The +24 V DC Power Module is unlocked.
2. Pull the +24 V DC Power Module out of the slot to remove it completely.
