8 Maintenance, troubleshooting,
replacement and repair
8.1 Maintenance
The AMS Asset Monitor does not require any maintenance during normal operation.
8.2 Troubleshooting
Follow these first troubleshooting steps in case of an unexpected behavior of an AMS Asset
Monitor.
Procedure
1. Connect your configuration device to the suspicious AMS Asset Monitor and open
AMS Asset Monitor Web Interface.
If the AMS Asset Monitor does not response, reset it. See AMS Asset Monitor
operating manual for how to reset the device.
2. Check the firmware version and update the firmware if a newer version is available.
3. Check the status light at the front of the AMS Asset Monitor. Table 8-1 explains the
possible status indications.
