8.3 Replacement and repair
In case of a defect, several components of the AMS Asset Monitor can be replaced on-site.
It is not possible to repair defective CHARMs, +24 V DC Power Modules, and AMS Asset
Monitors.
8.3.1
Replace a defective +24 V DC Power Module
In case of a defect, replace the +24 V DC Power Module.
CAUTION
Any work on the system may impair asset health monitoring and machine protection.
Prerequisites
• Spare +24 V DC Power Module
Procedure
1. Open the door of the AMS Asset Monitor.
2. Switch the power supply of the AMS Asset Monitor off.
3. Remove the defective +24 V DC Power Module.
