Care, maintenance and disposal
General Under normal operating conditions, the power source requires only a minimum of care
and maintenance. However, it is vital to observe some important points to ensure the
welding system remains in a usable condition for many years.

WARNING!
An electric shock can be fatal.
Before opening the device

Turn the mains switch to the "O" position
â–¶
Unplug the device from the mains
â–¶
Ensure the device cannot be switched back on
â–¶
Using a suitable measuring instrument, check to make sure that electrically charged
components (e.g. capacitors) have been discharged
At every start-up - Check mains plug, mains cable, welding torch, interconnecting hosepack and
grounding (earthing) connection for damage
- Check whether the all-round clearance of 0.5 m (1 ft. 8 in.) is kept to ensure that the
cooling air can easily flow and escape.
NOTE!
Air inlets and outlets must never be covered, not even partially.
Every 2 months - If present: clean air filter
Every 6 months
CAUTION!
Danger of damage to electronic components.

Do not bring the air nozzle too close to electronic components.
- Open the device
- Clean out the device interior using dry compressed air at reduced pressure
- If a lot of dust has accumulated, clean the cooling air ducts
Disposal Dispose of in accordance with the applicable national and local regulations.
