8-2-4 Rear Cover Replacement Procedures
8-2-4-1 Tools
Use the appropriate Phillips-type screw drivers, as indicated in the rear cover replacement procedures.
8-2-4-2 Preparations
Shut down the Vivid 3N Pro/Expert ultrasound unit, as described in Chapter 3 - Installation.
8-2-4-3 Rear Cover Removal Procedure
1) Remove the side covers, as described in 8-2-2 "Side Covers Replacement Procedures" on page 8-
4.
2) Remove the four screws that secure the rear cover in position. Two screws are located on the sides
of the rear cover, as shown below. The other two screws are located in the AC Input Box Unit, as
shown in Figure 8-7 below.

3.) Remove the rear cover.
8-2-4-4 Rear Cover Installation Procedure
1) Return the rear cover in its original position.
2) Insert the four screws and secure the rear cover in position. Two screws are located on the sides
of the rear cover, as shown in Figure 8-6, above. The remaining two screws are located in the AC
Input Box Unit, as shown in Figure 8-7, above.
3) Install the side covers, as described in 8-2-2-4 "Side Covers Installation Procedure" on page 8-4.
