8-6-7-3 Gas Spring Removal Procedure (cont’d)
10) Remove the retaining washer (K) from the pin (L) at the lower end of the gas spring.
11) Insert the Hex M8x80mm screw in the appropriate hole to the left of the compartment at its base,
and then tighten the screw until the pin (L) at the lower end of the gas spring is loose enough to be
removed, and remove the pin.
Note: In the following step, the gas spring components indicated by letters can be seen in Figure
8-91 "Gas Spring - Upper End" on page 8-107.
