INSTALLATION
Always replace
packing with a new
one.
Place a new packing onto the fuel tank and apply
less than 1.0 g of engine oil to lip surface of the
packing.
Install the fuel pump unit to the fuel tank.
• Be careful not to damage the fuel level sensor
when installing the fuel pump unit.
• Be careful not to allow the dirt and debris
between the fuel pump and packing.
Install the set plate by aligning the allow marks and
its holes with the tabs on the fuel pump unit.
• Be careful not to damage the pipe end when
installing the set plate.
Install and tighten the fuel pump mounting nuts in
the sequence shown.
