Performance Tests
Wander/Slips Measurement (Options UHN, [US9], A1M [A1Q], A1N
[A1R], A1P [A1S], A3L [A3M], A3V [A3W], A3N [A3P])
3. Press and set up the
display as shown opposite.
4. Press and set up the display
as shown opposite.
5. Connect the unbalanced 75 PDH
OUT port to the unbalanced 75 PDH IN
port and the unbalanced 75 TIMING
REF INPUT (Jitter Receiver Module)
simultaneously using the T-piece.
6. Press and verify that the
display shows POSITIVE PEAK
WANDER and NEGATIVE PEAK
WANDER readings of 0.000 ± 0.125 BITS.
7. Press to stop the measurement.
8. Disconnect the PDH OUT port from the unbalanced 75 TIMING REF INPUT
and connect to the balanced 120 TIMING REF INPUT via the HP 15508C
Balanced to Unbalanced Converter.
9. Press and select WANDER REFERENCE [120 BAL].
10. Press and verify that the display shows POSITIVE PEAK
WANDER and NEGATIVE PEAK WANDER readings of 0.000 ± 0.125 BITS.
11. Remove the input from the TIMING REF port and check that the display
indicates NO REF.
12. Press to stop the measurement.
