90 Chapter 7 : Photos, videos, and music
NOTE Music you download from Amazon MP3 is not backed up to your HP
webOS Account. To back up your music, you can copy downloaded files from
the AmazonMP3 folder on your device’s USB drive to your computer (see Copy
files between your device and your computer).
Buy a song or album
1 Open Amazon MP3 .
2 Tap the search field at the top of the screen and enter a song,
album, or artist name.
3Tap Enter (icon).
4 (Optional) Tap to preview a song.
5Tap Buy MP3 [album or song] with 1-Click beside a song or album
that you want to buy.
6 Enter your email address, then tap the password field and enter your
password.
7Tap Sign in using our secure server.
8 Review your purchases, check the box to accept the Amazon MP3
terms, and tap Continue.
9 Select your billing address, select a payment method or enter new
payment information, and tap Continue.
10 Tap Continue.
A Download [status] notification is displayed at the top of the
screen. See Work with Amazon MP3 Downloader. If the download
was successful, the music you bought is available in the Music app.
Work with Amazon MP3 Downloader
Amazon MP3 Downloader allows you to view and manage your
downloads.
1 After buying music from Amazon MP3, drag down over the
download status notification at the top of the screen and tap the
Amazon MP3 dashboard item.
NOTE If the download status is “Download completed”, tapping the Amazon
MP3 dashboard item opens the Music app, with the Amazon MP3 Downloads
playlist open by default.
Items are listed on the downloader in the order in which they were
bought. The Downloads remaining counter at the top of the screen
lets you know how many files remain to be downloaded.
2 Do any of the following:
• To play a downloaded song in the Music app: Tap the song.
• To clear all completed downloads from the list: Tap Clear
Completed.
• To pause a download that is in progress: Tap (pause icon). Tap
Resume to resume the download.
• To cancel a download: Tap (x icon) beside a song that has not
been downloaded, and tap Yes, cancel this download.
• To cancel the download of items that have expired: ????? I can
see how a gift offer could expire, but how would an item you
purchased expire?
• To retry failed downloads: Tap Retry failed.
• To upgrade Amazon MP3 Downloader: (If available) Tap
Upgrade.
