D Memory keyer send menu
Pre-set characters can be sent using the Keyer Send
menu. Contents of the memory keyer are set in the
Edit menu.

ush [MENU] to display the “M1”
screen (Menu 1).
wPush[KEY](F-4)todisplaythe“KEY”screen(Mem-
ory Keyer).
e Push [SEND](F-2) to display the “SEND” screen
(Keyer Send).
r Push [TRANSMIT] to switch the transceiver to
transmit, or turn ON the Break-in function. (p. 79)
t Push one of the function keys, [M1](F-1) to
[M4](F-4), to send the memory keyer contents.
•Holdingdownafunctionkeyfor1secondrepeatedly
sendsthecontents;pushanyfunctionkeytocancelthe
transmission.
•The contest number counter advances each time the
contents are sent.
•Push[−1](F-5)toreducethecontestnumberadvances
by 1 before sending the memory keyer contents to a
station a second time.
•Setthememorykeyerrepeatintervaltobetween1and
60 seconds (1 second steps) in the “Keyer Repeat Time”
item of the Keyer Set mode. (p. 54)

For your information
When an external keypad is connected to pin 3 and
pin 7 of the [MIC] connector, the contents of M1 to
M4 can be transmitted without selecting the keyer
send menu.
