4. Remove mounting bolts (7) of hydraulic oil filter (6), then
remove cover (8).
5.
Remove drain plug (3) that can be seen from under the fender
and drain the oil between there and the oil filter case. When
loosening drain plug (3), be careful not to get oil over yourself.

Remove element (9).
7. Clean the inside of the case and removed parts.
Replace a new filter. Always use Komatsu genuine filter.

Replace drain plug (3).
9.
Close filter cover (8), then tighten bolts (7).
10.
Refill the specified quantity of engine oil through oil filler (F).

After filling with oil, check that the oil is at the specified level. For details, see "CHECK OIL LEVEL IN
HYDRAULIC TANK, ADD OIL (PAGE 3-76)".
CLEAN ENGINE BREATHER ELEMENT
1. Wiper of all the dirt from around the breather (1).
2.
Remove breather (1).
3.
Rinse of the breather unit in diesel oil or flushing oil, then dry
with compressed air.
4.
Replace the breather O-ring with a new part, coat with engine
oil, then install.
CHECK ALTERNATOR, STARTING MOTOR
The brushes mat be worn or the bearing may have run out of grease, contact your Komatsu distributor for inspection
and repairs.
If the engine is started frequently, have this inspection carried out every 1000 hours.
