Shock Removal / Installation
1. Elevate the ve hicle off the g round to r elieve the
suspension load.
2. Remove the stabilizer ba r upper link
age bushings /
nut from both sides. Rotate the stabilizer bar upward.
3. Remove the upper and lower fasteners retaining the
sh
ock and remove the shock from the vehicle.
NOTE: It may be necessary to use a commercially
ava
ilable swivel socket to remove and install the LR
upper shock bolt.
4. Reverse the procedure to reinstall the shock. Torque
ne
w fasteners to spe cification ( refer to explo ded
views).
Retainer gap
should be 180°
from spring end
