Pad Inspection
1. Measure the thickness of the pad material. Replace
pads if worn beyond the service limit.
Pad Assembly / Installation
1. Lubricate mo unting bracket pin s with a light film of
silicone grease and install rubber dust boots.
2. Compress mo unting b racket and ma ke sur e dust
b
oots ar e fu lly se ated. In stall pads with friction
material facing each other.
3. Install caliper onto front hub and torque ne
w mounting
bolts to specification.
Front Brake Pad Thickness:
.300” ± .007” (7.6 mm ± .178 mm)
Ser
vice Limit: .180” (4.6 mm)
If brake pads are contaminated with grease, oil,
or liquid soaked do not use the pads.
Use only new, clean pads.
Front Caliper Mount Bolt Torque:
31-34 ft. lbs. (42-46 Nm)
Apply Grease to Each
