Bushing Service
IMPORTANT: Special Tools Required
*Clutch Bushing Replacement Tool Kit (PN 2871226)
NOTE: Bushings ar e inst alled at th e fa ctory us ing

ä 609. In order to re move bushings it will be
necessary to apply he at e venly t o t he area around
each bus hing. Cle an all residual Loc tite
ä fro m
bushing bore prior to installing new bushing.
Moveable Sheave - Bushing Removal
1. Remove clutch as outlined previously in this chapter.
2. Install ha ndle en d of the Piston Pin Pu ller (PN
28
70386) securely into bench vise and lightly grease
puller threads.
3. Remove nut from puller rod and set aside.
4. Install puller adapter (Item 10 from kit PN 2
871226).
5. Install main adapter (I
tem D) onto puller.
6. With tower s pointing to ward th e vise, slide sh eave
on
to puller rod.
7. Install removal tool (Item A, B) into center of sheave
wit
h “A side" toward sheave.
