Lift/LowerCircuit:Raise
Asingle-sectiongearpumpisdirectlycoupledtothetransmissionwhichisdriven
bytheengine.Thisgearpumpsupplieshydraulicowforboththesteeringand
lift/lowercircuits.Thegearpumpowisroutedtothesteeringcontrolvalve
rstsothatthesteeringcircuithaspriority.Thepumptakesitssuctionfrom
thehydraulictank.
Whenthedeckliftswitchisinitsneutralstate,owfromthegearpumpbypasses
theliftcylinderandisroutedthroughthedeckliftmanifolddirectlytotheoil
coolerandthentothetransmission.Thetransmissioncasedrainallowsthe
hydraulicuidtoreturntothehydraulictank.
Note:IfthedeckliftswitchispressedtotheRAISEpositionwhilethesteering
wheelisbeingturned,theliftspeedwillbereduced.
WhenthedeckliftswitchispressedtotheRAISEpositionandheld,thesolenoid
valves(S1andS2)inthedeckliftmanifoldareenergizedtocausethevalves
toshift.TheenergizedsolenoidvalveS2preventsthegearpumpowfrom
bypassingtheliftcylinder.TheenergizedsolenoidvalveS1allowshydraulicuid
owfromthegearpumptothebarrelendoftheliftcylinder.Theliftcylinder
extends,causingthecuttingdecktoraise.Theuiddisplacedfromtherod
endoftheliftcylinderisroutedtotheoilcooler,transmission,andthentothe
hydraulictank.Anoricettinginthedeckliftmanifoldcontrolsthespeedofthe
liftcylinderwhileraisingthecuttingdeck.
Theloadontheliftcylindercausesliftcircuitpressuretoincrease.Ifliftcircuit
pressurereaches12,500kPa(1,800psi),thereliefvalveinthegearpumpshifts
toallowpumpowtoreturntothehydraulictank.
WhenthedeckliftswitchisreleasedfromtheRAISEposition,boththesolenoid
valves(S1andS2)inthedeckliftmanifoldarede-energized.Thede-energized
solenoidvalveS2allowsthegearpumpowtobypasstheliftcylinder,returning
totheoilcooler,transmission,andthentothehydraulictank.Thede-energized
solenoidvalveS1preventsthehydraulicowtoandfromtheliftcylindertokeep
thecuttingdeckintheraisedposition.
