IMPORTANT
IfyouareusingalterthatisnottheTorohighowlterthatis
bi-directional,donotpressthetractionpedalinthereversedirection.
Iftheowisreversedwhenusingalterthatisnotbi-directional,
unwantedmaterialfromthelterwillagainenterthetractioncircuit.
11.Withtheenginerunningathigh-idlespeed,alternatelymovethetraction
pedalfromforwardtoreverse.Whilemonitoringthelterindicator,continue
thisprocessfor5moreminutes.
12.Shutofftheengineandremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
13.Removethehighowhydrauliclterandhydraulichosekitfromthemachine.
Connectthepumpinletandbalancinghosestotransmissionttings.Ensure
thatyouproperlytightenthehoses;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicHoseand
Tube(O-RingFaceSealFitting)(page4–8).
14.Repeatsteps4through13toltertheremainingpistonpumpcircuit.
15.Afterlteringiscompleted,lowerthemachinetotheground.
16.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthehydraulicreservoirandaddcorrect
quantityofuidifnecessary;refertotheOperator’sManual.
ChargingtheHydraulicSystem
Note:Wheninitiallystartingthehydraulicsystemwithneworrebuiltcomponents
suchaswheelmotors,gearpump,orliftcylinder,itisimportantthatthehydraulic
systemischargedproperly.Removetheairfromthesystemanditscomponents
toreducethechanceofdamage.
IMPORTANT
Changethehydraulic-uidlterwhenyourepairorreplacethe
hydrauliccomponents.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandshutofftheengine.
2.Ensurethatallofthehydraulicconnections,lines,andcomponentsare
securedtightly.
Note:Flushandllthehydraulicsystemandtankwheneverthereisa
severecomponentfailureorthesystemiscontaminated;refertoFlushing
theHydraulicSystem(page4–70).
3.Ensurethatthehydraulictankisfull.Addcorrectquantityofhydraulicuidif
necessary;refertotheOperator’sManual.
4.Checkthetractioncontrolcomponentsforproperadjustment,binding,or
damagedparts.
5.Primethehydraulicpumps;refertoPrimingtheHydraulicPumps(page
4–69).
