6.Liftandsupportthemachinewithjackstandssothatallthedrivewheels
areofftheground.
CAUTION
Ensurethatthemachineissafelysupportedsothatitdoesnotmove
oraccidentallyfallandpreventinjuringanyoneunderthemachine.
7.EnsurethatthetractionpedalisintheNEUTRALposition.Starttheengine
andrunitatlow-idlespeed(1,400rpm).
Note:Thepistonandgearpumpsmustpickupthehydraulicuidandllthe
hydraulicsystem.Ifthereisnoindicationofllin30seconds,shutoffthe
engineandndthecause.
8.Afterthehydraulicsystemstartstoshowthesignsofll,actuateadecklift
switchuntiltheliftcylinderrodmovesinandoutseveraltimes.
9.Iftheliftcylinderdoesnotmoveafter3to5secondsorifthepumpemits
abnormalsounds,shutofftheengineimmediately,andndthecauseor
problem.Inspectforthefollowing:
A.Theoillterorsuctionlinesthatareloose.
B.Anincorrecthoserouting.
C.Thesuctionlinethatisblocked.
D.Theimplementreliefvalvethatisdamaged.
E.Thegearpumpthatisdamaged.
10.Aftertheliftcylindermovesnormally,proceedtostep11.
11.Turnthesteeringwheelinbothdirectionssothatthesteeringcylindersmove
inandoutseveraltimes.
12.Operatethetractionpedalintheforwardandreversedirections.Thedrive
wheelsshouldrotateintheproperdirection.Ifthewheelsrotateinthewrong
direction,shutofftheengine,inspectthewheelmotorlocationandhydraulic
linestothewheelmotors;refertoInstallingtheTransmission(page4–95).
13.AdjustthetractionpedaltotheNEUTRALposition;refertotheOperator's
Manual.
14.Lowerthemachinetotheground.
15.Ifthetransmissionorawheelmotorwasreplacedorrebuilt,operatethe
tractioncircuitonalevelgroundsothatallthedrivewheelsrotateslowly
for10minutes.
16.Operatethemachinebygraduallyincreasingitsworkloadtofullovera10
minuteperiod.
Note:Someaerationofhydraulicuidonthismachineisnormal.This
aeration(foaming)maybemorenoticeableafterinitialllingofthehydraulic
tank.
17.Stopthemachine.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthehydraulicreservoir
andaddcorrectquantityofuidifnecessary;refertotheOperator’sManual.
18.Checkthehydrauliccomponentsforleaksandtightenanylooseconnections.
