Thedeckliftswitchisusedtoraiseorlowerthecuttingdeck.Thedeckliftswitch
islocatedonthecontrolpanel(Figure207).
Theenginemustberunningtoallowthecuttingdecktoberaisedorlowered.
Whenthefrontoftheliftswitchispressed,thedeckwilllowerfully.Whenthe
rearoftheliftswitchispressedandheld,thedeckwillraise.Whenraisingthe
deck,thedeckwillremaininpositioniftheswitchisreleased.
Note:Toraiseorlowerthedeck,theseathastobeoccupied.Also,tolowerthe
cuttingdeck,theenginemustbeinrunningcondition.
TheT oroElectronicController(TEC)monitorstheoperationofthedeckliftswitch.
TestingtheDeckLiftSwitch
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,settheparking
brake,andshutofftheengine.
2.Beforeyoudisconnectthedeckliftswitchfortesting,ensurethatyoutest
theswitchanditscircuitwiringasaTECelectricalinputwiththeInfoCenter
display;refertoUsingtheInfoCenterDisplayforTroubleshooting(page
5–30).
3.IftheInfoCenterveriesthatthedeckliftswitchandcircuitwiringare
functioningcorrectly,nofurtherswitchtestingisnecessary.
4.IftheInfoCenterdeterminesthatthedeckliftswitchandcircuitwiringarenot
functioningcorrectly,proceedwiththetest.
5.Removethecontrolpaneltogetaccesstothedeckliftswitch;referto
DisassemblingtheControlConsole(page6–54).
