Moving the Printer Within the Office
To move the printer:
1. Close the printer doors.
2. To turn off the printer, on the right rear sided of the printer, under the I/O door, use the power
switch.
3. Within 30 seconds, at the control panel, select Shutdown for Moving Printer, then press OK.
4. After the cool-down cycle is complete, unplug the printer.
CAUTION: Do not unplug the printer until the cooling sequence completes and the printer turns off.
5. Before you move the printer, remove any optional trays.
6. To lift the printer, always use at least two people to grasp the hand holds on each side of the
printer.
After moving the printer:
1. Reinstall any parts you removed.
2. Reconnect the printer to the cables and power cord.
3. Plug in and turn on the printer.
