Before You Begin
Before you install the software for your printer, complete the following steps.
1. Ensure that the printer is connected and turned on.
− If the printer is connected to a network, verify that it has a valid IP address.
− If you are using USB, ensure that the printer is connected to your computer.
2. Review the operating system requirements for your computer.
3. Review the list of available print drivers.
Operating System Requirements
• Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2003, Windows
Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2012.
• Macintosh OS X version 10.7 and later.
• UNIX and Linux: Your printer supports connection to various UNIX platforms through the network
interface.
Available Print Drivers
Xerox
®
provides print drivers for various page description languages and operating systems. You can use
a Xerox
®
print driver to select printer features.
To install print drivers and utilities for your printer, you can use the Software and Documentation disc. To
download the latest print drivers for your printer:
