Repairs and Adjustments
REP 10.5 Fuser Terminal

Removal
WARNING
Switch off the electricity to the machine. Disconnect the power cord from the customer
supply while performing tasks that do not need electricity. Electricity can cause death or
injury. Moving parts can cause injury.
CAUTION
Before performing this procedure, refer to General Disassembly Precautions, GP 10.
1. Remove the DADF PL 5.10.
2. Remove the scanner REP 14.1.
3. Remove the rear cover and the left and right covers REP 28.1.
4. Remove the outbin REP 28.2.
5. Remove the LSU REP 6.1.
6. Disconnect CON2 from the SMPS, REP 1.1.
7. Disconnect CN19 from the Main PWB.
8. Remove the fuser terminal, PL 10.25 Item 8.
9. Disconnect the red and black harness from the fuser terminal.
Replacement
1. Replacement is the reverse of the removal procedure.

1. Remove the fuser assembly PL 10.10.
2. Remove the left and right lamp caps, PL 10.12 Item 2 and PL 10.12 Item 3.
3. Disconnect the harnesses from the heat lamp, Figure 1 and Figure 3.

Disconnect the harness at the right end.

Remove the fixing screw.
