18 TOWING THE MACHINE
WARNING
Always tow a machine that has broken down in complete safety by using the suitable tools.
An unsuitable procedure may cause serious physical injuries.
IMPORTANT
Check that the metal cables, the slings and the towing mechanisms to be used are resistant
enough and that they are not cracked or broken. Never tow the machine that is only at-
tached to a hook.
• When the machine gets stuck in the mud
and cannot get out on its own, or when it is
towing a heavy object, attach the sling as
shown opposite.

• When towing a machine with another machine, use a metal cable that is powerful enough for
the machine's weight.
• Never tow the machine on a slope.
• Never use a deformed or damaged towing cable.
• Do not roll over the towing cable or the metal cable.
• When you hook on an object to be towed, make sure that there is no-one between the ma-
chine and the object.
