Removing and installing rear
wheel

Attention:
Avoid scratching the wheel rim; if necessary mask
off the brake caliper.
Do not tilt the brake caliper!

Note:
Do not pull handbrake lever with brake caliper re-
moved/rear wheel removed!
– Remove silencer assembly

Note:
Apply rear brake to loosen the 6-point nut (3).
•
Unscrew 6-point nut (3)
•
Disengage vent hose (1) from clip (2)
•
Use hoist,
BMW No. 00 1 570,
to lift C1 until it is
securely supported with the rear wheel free of
the ground
•
Detach lower end of strut assembly (5) and tie it
up out of the way
•
Detach auxiliary swing arm (1-4) and remove it
