Adjusting the MSDP Connection-Retry Interval
Perform this optional task to adjust the interval at which MSDP peers will wait after peering sessions are reset
before attempting to reestablish the peering sessions. In network environments where fast recovery of SA
messages is required, such as in trading floor network environments, you may want to decrease the
connection-retry interval to a time value less than the default value of 30 seconds.

enable

configure terminal
3.
ip msdp timer connection-retry-interval
4.
exit
DETAILED STEPS

Enables privileged EXEC mode.enable
Step 1
Example:
Device> enable

Enter your password if prompted.
Enters global configuration mode.configure terminal
Example:
Device# configure terminal
Step 2
Configures the interval at which MSDP peers will wait after
peering sessions are reset before attempting to reestablish the
peering sessions.
ip msdp timer connection-retry-interval
Example:
Device# ip msdp timer 45
Step 3
Exits global configuration mode and returns to privileged EXEC
mode.
exit
Example:
Device(config)# exit
Step 4
