CONFIGURE ACTIONS FOR FUNCTION KEYS
Each of the function keys can be programmed to perform a user-assigned
function. This is done by associating a function key with either a predefined
command or your own custom string. See the Define Strings on page
265command to define customized strings.
Each function key has an associated la
bel which shows in the display when
active. The default labels are shown in the table below. To program the
function key labels, see Set String ID on page 266.
The following table shows the list of predefined commands and available

If a key must be kept enabled but isn’t
required in normal mode , this function can be
selected to keep it ineffective. Whenever an
unconfigured function key is pressed, an error
message appears on the display and an error
beep is emitted.
