Platen gap adjustment
1. Turn the ribbon frame knob in the direction of the arrow to remove the ribbon frame
assembly from the printer and remove the manual cutter.
2. Move the print head unit so that it is 1 to 2 cm (0.39 to 0.79”) from portion A of the paper
hold plate spring and insert the scaling gauge between the print head unit and platen.
3. Measure the space and if the value is out of the standard range [0.55 mm ± 0.05 mm (0.022”±
0.002”)], turn the adjustment roller shaft holders to get a value within the specified range.
4. Perform the adjustment at two positions.
