Replacing the Ribbon Cassette
CAUTION:
Make sure the printer is not receiving data when you replace a ribbon cassette;
otherwise, data may be lost.
1. Open the printer cover.
2. Open the auto-cutter by pulling the tab up and toward you.
3. Remove the used ribbon cassette.
4. Turn the ribbon cassette’s knob in the direction of the arrow to take up any slack in the
ribbon.
CAUTION:
Never turn the ribbon cassette’s feed knob in the opposite direction of the arrow
marked on the cassette; otherwise the ribbon cassette may be damaged.
5. Insert the ribbon in the position shown in the illustration below and push the ribbon cassette
until it clicks.
