3 Basic Operations
3.1 Main Components and Their Functions

1 Extension output tray Pull this out when printing on paper larger than A4 size.
2 Center output tray Print jobs are output here with the printed side facing down.
3 Top cover Open this cover when replacing the drum/toner cartridge and
removing jammed paper.
4 Control panel Consists of the essential operation button and indicators.
5 Front cover Open this when replacing the drum/toner cartridge and removing
jammed paper.
6 Bypass tray Open and pull down the cover to use it as the bypass tray. Paper
other than plain paper, such as postcards, envelopes, or
transparencies can be set in the bypass tray.
7 Power switch Switches the power of the printer on and off. Pressing the switch
to the <

> position switches it on and pressing it to the <{>
position switches it off.
8 Paper tray Plain paper (A3, B4, A4, B5, A5, and Letter) can be set in this
tray.
9 Paper size label Indicates the paper size of the paper in the paper tray.
10 Front cover open/close
