6.1 Specifications

6.1.11 Low Power Mode
This mode is called as "Energy Saving: Step 2" for BAM(Blue Angel Mark) standard.
When no job is executed for a certain period of time, the machine enters this mode to reduce the standby
electricity consumption.
The shift time from the Standby mode to Low Power mode can be changed from the operator panel (Setting
range: 1-60 min.
The factory default is 1 minute.
z After pressing Energy Saver button on the operator panel, the machine enters this Mode to save
more power consumption.
The machine transitions from the Low Power mode to the Ready mode when:
z Any button is pressed on the operator panel.
z A print job is received.
z A FAX job is received.
z A direct Fax job is received.
z A hook-off of external telephone is detected.
z A direction of printing a report is issued via EWS.
z A USB storage device is inserted.
z Sending or polling data starts at a time specified by the operator.
6.1.12 Sleep Mode
This mode is called as "Energy Saving: Step 3" for BAM(Blue Angel Mark) standard.
z After the Sleep mode has continued for a certain period of time, the machine enters the Sleep Mode
to save more power consumption.
The shift time from the Low Power mode to the Sleep mode can be changed from the operator panel (Setting
range: 1-60min).
The factory default is 1 minute.
The Sleep Mode is cancelled when:
z The Power Saver button is pressed on the operator panel.
z A print job is received.
z A FAX job is received.
z A direct Fax job is received.
z A direction of printing a report is issued via EWS.
z Sending or polling data starts at a time specified by the operator.
