Media Cut Mode
Allows you to select the media cutting method
from [Standard], [Synchronized], and [Variable
Length].
Note • The [Media Cut Mode] button is enabled when
a roll media is selected for [Media Supply].
 Standard
Cuts the roll media to a standard size.
See • "Media Size List" (P.272)
 Synchronized
Cuts the roll media to the same size as the docu-
ments.
Note • You can set the output method for the [Syn-
chronized] cut mode.
For the setting method, refer to "Detailed Com-
mon Settings" (P.273)
 Variable Length
Cuts the roll paper to the specified length.
The length can be changed within the range from
210 to 15000mm.
The excess part will be cut if the specified length
is smaller than the result of the "Document
Length x Copy Ratio" equation. A trail margin fol-
lows the copied image if the specified length is
larger than the result of the equation.
Note • The default value of [Variable Length] for each
media size can be set with [System Settings].
For the setting method, refer to, "Variable
Length Preset" (P.234).
