System Name
The factory default system name is fujitsu.
Note: The default name must be changed from fujitsu for the system to turn up as well as for the tributary
shelves to be recognized.
Note: The NE hostname is the value of system name.
Show System Name
Command:
% show system name
Set System Name
Command:
% set system name <string, min: 7 chars, max: 20 chars>
Remember: In conguraon mode (command prompt ends with %), changes are made to the
candidate conguraon and do not aect in the running conguraon unl a successful commit or
commit conrm command is entered.
Perform a WARM reboot for the system to turn up as well as for the tributary shelves to be recognized.
Command:
> request restartSystem level warm
Note: Changing the system name generally changes the CLI command prompt. (Refer to CLI Command
Prompts.)
