RADIUS is a remote authencaon method which allows users to provision user account informaon (username
and passwords) for authencaon on a server external to the network element. It provides the ability for users
to log accounng informaon (for example: login me and IP) on an external server.
Note: For more detailed RADIUS informaon, refer to 1FINITY RADIUS User Guide, available on the Fujitsu
Partners website, hps://partners.fnc.fujitsu.com/documentaon.
1.7.5
REST API
The 1FINITY REST API web service allows users or soware systems to interact with and congure the 1FINITY
system through a YANG-data-model-based REST API. The REST API web service is disabled by default and uses
the HTTP/HTTP web server service.
Note: For more detailed REST API informaon, refer to 1FINITY REST API User Guide, available on the Fujitsu
Partners website, hps://partners.fnc.fujitsu.com/documentaon.
1.7.6
Secure Shell
SSH is a client-server network protocol for secure communicaon sessions between hosts over TCP/IP network
connecons. 1FINITY NEs can parcipate as either client or server. The SSH server service is enabled by default
and listens on TCP port 22. The TCP port is congurable. CLI uses the SSH server service.
1.7.7
Streaming Telemetry
1FINITY devices support streaming telemetry. Streaming telemetry provides a periodic push mechanism to send
operaonal state data from a network element to a monitoring server (network management system). A simple
conguraon mechanism consists of uploading a conguraon le that describes the desnaon(s) (for example,
address and port), and separate command le(s) which consist of NETCONF XML get requests for data of
interest. The command les can select the enre tree or focus on a parcular monitoring point.
Note: For more detailed streaming telemetry informaon, refer to 1FINITY Telemetry User Guide, available on
the Fujitsu Partners website, hps://partners.fnc.fujitsu.com/documentaon.
1.7.8
Syslog (RFC 5424)
Syslog is a standard protocol used to send event nocaon messages to a logging server. Syslog is enabled by
default on 1FINITY NEs to capture logs generated by dierent applicaons. Syslog uses the standard BSD syslog
protocol, specied in RFC 3164. The logs cover informaon, for example, login success/failures, cong change
nocaons, and applicaon errors.
