Install USB Flash Drive
This procedure describes how to install USB ash drive.
Step 1
Plug in USB ash drive.
■ Factory shipped (Fujitsu) USB ash drive:
• NE veries the encrypon password and is good to connue.
■ Non-factory shipped (non-Fujitsu) USB ash drive:
• NE veries the encrypon password and fails. An invalidUSB alarm is raised.
• Format and encrypt the USB ash drive.
Command:
> request format-usb
Step Result:
Aer the USB ash drive is formaed and encrypted to Fujitsu format, the invalidUSB alarm clears and the OSL
le automacally downloads to the USB ash drive. Soware sync alarm sowareSyncInProgress is raised when
copying OSL to USB ash drive and cleared when complete. Later the database le from primary database is
downloaded to the USB ash drive.
Note: Database manager runs a 10-minute mer and detects if a change between primary database to
secondary database exists, copies primary database to secondary database locaon (USB ash drive). Aer
databases are in sync, noSecondaryDatabase alarm is cleared.
Step 2
View les saved to the USB ash drive. If user has no need to view, procedure is complete.
Command:
> request show-file filename /mnt/secondary/var/shared/confd/backup
Step 3
Oponally, remove the USB ash drive.
Note: User can keep the USB ash drive plugged into the shelf if required.
Command:
> request remove-usb
Step Result:
A UsbSafeToRemove event is raised when USB ash drive can be safely removed.
✓ This task is complete.
