or exceeded the specied limit.
■ A connector in the OSC opcal link is
dirty.
■ The opposite-end opcal transmier is
creang bit errors. Points of large
opcal reecon exist along the OSC
link.
■ A hardware problem in the blade could
be causing line BER problems.
■ The BERSD-L threshold seng may not
be appropriate for the applicaon in
use.
1. Verify the local receive and upstream transmit level.
2. Clean the opcal connectors.
3. Verify good opcal connecons to the local and far-end
blades and at the Lightwave Distribuon Frame (LDF)
panels along the link.
4. Replace the far-end blade.
5. Retrieve the facility and check the BERSD-L threshold
seng in accordance with local pracces.
