Peripherals replacement
DVD R/W drive replacement
Preparations
When preparing for the replacement, you must perform the
following steps:
1. Power down the Ultrasound system.
2. Disconnect the Mains Power Cable from the wall outlet.
3. Disconnect all probes and external I/O cabling.
4. Remove the Side Covers.
5. Remove the Top Cover.
Remove the DVD drive
Follow this procedure to remove the DVD drive:
1. Raise the Top Console to the highest level.
2. Remove the 4 screws securing the right side of the DVD
drive.
3. Tilt the Front Cover forward just until the Column Cover stop
tabs clear.
4. Raise the Column Cover to access and remove the 4
screws securing the left side of the DVD drive.
5. Disconnect the cables to the DVD drive.
6. Slide the DVD drive out the front of the Ultrasound system.
NOTE: If Power Connection is different on new and old DVD drive:
Move the DVD Interface Board, Part Number 5301204, from
the old DVD drive that you removed, to the new DVD drive.
Install the DVD drive
Follow this procedure to install the DVD drive:
1. Slide the DVD drive into position.
2. Install the 8 screws to secure the DVD drive.
