HEADIVALVES
CYLINDER COMPRESSION TEST
Remove
the
fuel tank (page 2-7).
Warm
up
the
engine
.
Stop the engine and
remove
the
spark
plug
.
Connect a
compression
gauge.
Makesurethe
Open
the
throttle
all the
way
and crank
the
engine
compressIOn
gauge
with
the starter
motor
until
the
gauge
reading stops
connection does rising. The
maximum
reading is
usually
reached
not
leak.
within
4 - 7 seconds.

CYLINDER HEAD COVER
REMOVAL

Remove the fuel tank (page 2-7).
Remove the direct
ignition
coil.
Disconnect
the
crankcase breather hose.
Remove the
bolts,
cylinder
head cover and packing.
