REAR WHEEL
REMOVAL
Be careful
not
to
damage
the
brake
pads with
disc
Raise
the
rear wheel off
the
ground
by pla
ci
ng a
workstand
or
equivalent
under
the
engine
.
loosen
the
axle nut.
Loosen
th
e
drive
chain
adjuster
lock nuts
and
turn
the
adjusting
bolts
clockwise
fully
.
Remove
the
axle
nut
and
washer
.
Push the rear wheel forward to derail
th
e drive
chain
from
the driven sprocket.
Remove the
axle, adjusting
blo
c
ks
and rear wheel.
Do
not
ope
rate
the
brake pedal
after
removing
the
rear wheel.
To
do so will cause difficulty in fining
the
brake disc
between
the brake pads.
Remove the right and left side collars.
INSPECTION
AXLE
Set
the
axle
on
V-blocks and
measure
the
runout
.
Turn
the
axle and
measure
the
runout
using
a
dial
indicato
r.
Actual
runout
is 1/2
of
the
total
indicator
reading.
SERVICE
UMIT
: 0.20
mm
(0.008 in)
