DECOMPRESSOR SYSTEM
Remove the cylinder head cover (page 8-6).
Check the decompressor weight cam area for wear
or damage.
Check the decompressor system for smooth opera -
tion.
Check the decompressor cam spring for damage or
fatigue.

OIL LEVEL INSPECTION
Start the engine and let it i dle for 3 minutes.
Stop the engine and wait 3 minutes .
Support the motorcyc le upright on a level surface.
Remove the oil fi l ler cap/ dipstick and wipe the oil
with a clean cloth .
Insert the dipstick without screwing it in, remove it
and check the oil level.
If the oil level is below or near the lower level line
on the dipstick, add the recommended engine oil to
the upper level line through the oil filler hole .
Add the recommended engine oil to the upper level
line.
RECOMMENDED ENGINE OIL:
Pro Honda GN4 4-s tr oke oil (U.S.A. a nd Canada) or
equivalent mot or oil
API se rvic e class ification : SG or Higher
JASO T 903 standard: MA
Visco s ity : SAE 10W ·30
OIL CAPACITY:
0.66
liter (0.70 US qt. 0.58 Imp qt) at draining
0.69 liter (0.73 US qt , 0. 61 Imp qt ) at oil filter change
Reinstall the oil filler cap/dipstick.
ENGINE OIL & FILTER CHANGE
Remove the engine guard (page 2-4).
Change the engrne Start the eng ine and let it i dle for 3 minutes .
