Communications Channel
Description The Data Communications Channel (DCC) of the section and line
overhead can be verified by protocol testing. The Insert and Drop
capability provides access to the DCC via the RS-449 connector on the
front panel of the SDH/SONET module.

HOW TO: 1 Connect the Protocol Analyzer to the RS449 port on the SDH/SONET
Transmit module.
2 Choose the required DCC.
If you choose DCC BYTE POLARITY [NORMAL], the first bit received
in each byte is the first bit dropped (i.e. the most significant).
Choice of NORMAL or REVERSED on the DCC INSERT or DCC
DROP display will take effect on both.
