Using Instrument and Disk Storage
Managing Files and Directories on Disk
Managing Files and Directories on Disk
Description File and Directory structures can be important in speeding up the
transfer of data between the instrument and the disk drive.
It is recommended that you create different directories for the different
applications, for example:
A:\GRAPHICS
A:\LOGGING
A:\CONFIG
NOTE As the number of files in a directory increases, filename access via the
pop-up menu becomes progressively slower.
File and Directory names, File descriptors, Instrument Store
Descriptors and Disk labels, can be entered in two ways:
• Pop-Up File List and File Name Menus
• By Softkey Entry
