NOTE:
The total number of sapback processes started in one session using Data Protector is
limited to 256.
Modifying backup specifications
To modify your backup specification, click its name in the Scoping Pane of the Backup
context, then click the appropriate tab, and apply the changes.
Scheduling backup specifications
You can run unattended backups at specific times or periodically. For details on
scheduling, see the online Help index: “scheduled backups”.
Scheduling example
To schedule ZDB to disk+tape at 8:00, 13:00, and 18:00 during week days:
1. In the Schedule property page, select the starting date in the calendar and click
Add to open the Schedule Backup dialog box.
2. Under Recurring, select Weekly. Under Time options, select 8:00. Under Recurring
Options, select Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, and Fri.
In Split mirror/snapshot backup drop-down list, select To disk+tape. See Figure
54 on page 207.
Click OK.
3. Repeat Step 1 on page 206 and Step 2 on page 206 to schedule backups at
13:00 and 18:00.
4. Click Apply to save the changes.
