Before you begin
Configure devices and media for use with Data Protector. See the online Help
index: configuring devices and creating media pools for instructions.
For ZDB to disk, configure a backup device (for example, a standalone file device),
as you will have to select it when configuring a backup specification. For
information, see the online Help index: standalone devices.
To test whether Exchange Server and Cell Manager communicate properly,
configure and run a Data Protector filesystem ZDB and restore. See the online
Help for instructions.
Before performing transaction logs backups, disable circular logging for all storage
groups.
If the application is cluster-aware, disable circular logging on all cluster nodes.
Add the Exchange_home\bin directory to the Windows Path environment
variable:
1. In the Windows Explorer, right-click My Computer and click Properties.
2. In the Properties dialog box, click Advanced and then Environment Variables.
3. Select Path in the System Variables list and click Edit.
4. Add Exchange_home\bin in the Variable Value text box and click OK.

If the integration is cluster-aware, perform this procedure on all cluster nodes.
