11.7 Replacing a Compressor (Welded)
Prerequisites
● A compressor needs to be replaced.
● A spare compressor of the same model is available and functional.
● To replace the compressor, you also need to replace the
lter dryer. Refer to
6.7.7 Replacing a Filter Dryer (Welded).
● Recommended tools and materials: welding torch, new compressor and
lter
dryer, refrigerant reclaiming device, R410A refrigerant, refrigerant charging
device
Context
● Reclaim or dispose of the refrigerant in accordance with local laws and
regulations. During the reclaim process, the R410A refrigerant composition may
change. Therefore, you are not advised to
rell the reclaimed R410A refrigerant
to the cooling system.
● When replacing a compressor, avoid skin contact with the refrigerant or
lubricant to prevent frostbite or burns.
● Do not tilt the compressor during replacement to prevent lubricant leakage.
● Install a new compressor immediately after you remove the rubber plugs of
suction and discharge vents to prevent the moisture intake.
Procedure
Step 1 Tap Shutdown on the controller home screen.
Exercise caution because the device is still energized after it is shut down on the
controller home screen.
Step 2 Open the rear door and remove the air lter.
Step 3 Turn o the active power switch QF1, standby power switch QF2 (you do not need
to turn o QF2 for the model with a single power supply), and drive switch QF3.
Step 4 Recycle the refrigerant from the low-pressure needle valve and exhaust pipe
needle valve to ensure that there is no pressure in the system. (If a low
temperature component is used, recycle the refrigerant from the liquid pipe needle
valve, low-pressure needle valve, and exhaust pipe needle valve.)
Step 5 Remove the electric heating belt.
