■ Repeater operation
A repeater retransmits a received signal on a differ-
ent frequency. When using a repeater, the transmit
frequency is shifted from the receive frequency by an
offset frequency. A repeater can be accessed using
split frequency operation with the transmit frequency
shifted to the repeater's receive frequency.
For accessing a repeater which requires an access
tone, set the tone frequency in tone frequency set
mode as described below.
q First, set the frequency offsets for HF and 50 MHz
band, then turn ON the quick split function in Oth-
ers set mode. (p. 12-13)
