SCAN OPERATION
■ Scan edges programming
Scan edges can be programmed in the same manner as
memory channels. Scan edges are programmed into scan
edges, 1A/1B to 5A/5B, in memory channels.
q Set the edge frequency of the desired frequency range in
VFO mode:
➥ Set the frequency using [DIAL].
➥ Set other data (e.g. repeater settings, etc.) if desired.
w Push [S.MW•MW].
•“!” indicator and channel number blink.
e Rotate [DIAL] to select one of scan edge channel, 1A, 2A,
3A, 4A or 5A.
r Push and hold [S.MW•MW] for 1 sec. to program.
• 3 beeps sound and VFO is automatically selected.
• Scan edge 1B, 2B, 3B, 4B or 5B is automatically selected when
continuing to push [S.MW•MW] after programming.
t To program a frequency for the other pair of scan edges,
1B, 2B, 3B, 4B or 5B, repeat steps q to r.
• If identical frequency are programmed into a pair of scan edges,
programmed scan will not function.
[EXAMPLE]: Programming 145.300 MHz into scan edges 1A.
